The typical wood roof is made of Cedar. There are now synthetic

The typical cedar shingled roof when installed looks like freshly cut wood. This look does not last long as the weather and natural biological elements soon turn the cedar to a light grey-brown look which is more typical. | |

Asphalt Roofing:

Available in many styles, asphalt shingles improve with thickness. The thickest give the shingle a look of having three dimentional depth while the cheapest look thin and matted to the roof surface. |
Metal Roofing:
Copper is the most costly but one of the most durable. It installs as a dark brown color but weathers to a turquoise green with age.
